Comparative efficacy of synthetic and herbal emulsifiers in broiler chicken fed energy-restricted diet

The digestive system of young birds is very poor and inefficient in digestion absorption fat due to less lipase production low rate bile formation, which can be overcome by the use exogenous emulsifier. This study aimed evaluate comparative efficacy herbal synthetic emulsifiers on growth performance, nutrients utilization, haemato-biochemical profile, carcass quality broiler chickens fed energy restricted diet during a 35-days feeding trial. 180 one day-old Cobb400Y chicks were assigned into four treatment groups, each with three replicates. T0(control) received basal without emulsifier, group T1 3% metabolizable energy, T2 + emulsifier @250 g/tonne feed T3 @ 250 feed. Supplementation enhanced performance economics chicken. These was no significant effect dry matter, crude protein, calcium phosphorus retention chickens, however, ether extract improved significantly. Haematological parameters, characteristics overall acceptability meat chicken diets supplemented didn`t differ. Emulsifier supplementation didn’t change villi length crypt depth. It concluded that decrease depressed whereas, dietary g/ tonne based intestinal morphology affecting chickens.
